"Windfern Tubers" anyone know what these are?

it says they are a delicate flora aproximatley 674yrs old, that they are a medicinal herb that could hold the key to the cure of the common cold, and that it should be deposited at a responsible cloning unit immediatley.

I was given theese by my farmer after completing all his quests.. Anyone know what these are or what you are supposed to do with them? I have searched google for information, but found none, and the steam community shows no results for the key word "windfern tubers", so i'm assuming these aren't common. Any ideas??

could be a mission item ? just found a subtle portrait myself it has background story and it looks like a piece of a puzzle , where did you find windfern tubers??

the farmer gave them to me after completing the last plant he can teach you
