Humming eggs, subterranean relics disappear when digging towards them

Title says it all. Whenever I dig towards these things underground, the marker disappears and presumably the object as well, since I can never find them upon entering the cave. Hoping this bug is fixed.

I have had this happen a few times. If you tunnel with the terrain manipulator ontop of somethings they pop disappear.

I had luck with tunneling near them not on top of them

I've had several subterraneon resources disappear on me, including the relics. It did reappear later and I was able to grab once I left the area.

Same. I've had them disappear when I get close only to reappear on the scanner when I leave. I suspect the icon is incorrect and there is actually nothing at the location.

They do not disappear ... its sorta like a bread trail. its saying there are eggs ... when it dips just keep burrowin i nthe same local and ull punch into an underground cavern. There very close nearby will be many eggs.

No, this is repeatable. I see the icon in scan mode for "subterranean relic" (I can even mark it), then walk to it so that I'm standing over it, but as soon as I hit the terrain manipulator it disappears. And that's whether I'm aiming on top of it or shooting well to the side.

had the same issue on a snow planet, every yellow icon i dig toward just *poofs* and there were no resources where the icon was suposed to be

happens to me too. but if i go into a cave and look for those things, i can find them no problem...just no digging from the surface...

I was digging for something that disappeared when I got to the cave it was in, should have been in a box. There were other boxes there but not the thing I was looking for. This was on the very lowest level.

The markers bugged out on me on a few occasions too, but after some digging around the area, I found an underground cavern and the eggs.

But the Whispering Eggs (not the Humming ones, those give you Albumen Pearls), give you a small slimy alien thing that rolls away and disappears in about 10 seconds. I think that is intentional, so as to give a greater challenge to the player. YOU NEED TO ACT FAST AND GRAB THE WHISPERING EGG'S EGG, because at the same time you'll be attacked by monsters.

As far as I can tell this is the intended behavior. Vaporizing cubic meters of rock is disruptive. Fragile things like vortex cubes fall apart if the explosions are too close.

I've seen the same effect (in earlier versions, not enough mojo to try it on the new NEXT save quite yet) when fighting quads after mining pearls or grav balls. Drop a grenade on the quad but too close to the goodies and they disappear even though they weren't directly struck.

what about Metal fingers? ive had those dissapear on me as wel while they are suposed to be above ground, are they alive or something? lol

What is a 'quad'?

Is it possible these relics are destroyed when digging from the top when they are accessible from inside a cave below. Meaning do they drop once released from the terrain and destroyed when they hit the bottom of the cave.

The ceiling wall of the cave is thin. The object is just below the surface inside the ceiling. When you dig from the top it falls and is ruined....possibly? Some further investigation seems needed. But also some form of destruction animation or message would be nice that indicates the object was destroyed in the process of retrieval.

I've had that happen too. Never figured out what was going on.
