Look for metal fingers, they are on every planet. They give you gold and uranium and lot of it

are they on the surface or underground?

Mainly on the surface, sometimes in cave entrances.

You have a picture of it?

Well fuel takes up 5 per-slot, unrainum stacks up to 500 per-slot on the ship

it is around, one just has to look in the right places, like radioactive sites.

But you're constantly crafting that crap. Although it's easy, it's tedious and time consuming. Too much grind for my liking.

Launch fuel is easy lol. uranium is usually a secondary resource from certain rocks on some planets. But not all planets only radioactive ones. However once you stock up on di-hydrogen (witch is on every planet) they only "problem" is ferrite dust witch comes from smaller rocks above ground usually however you don't need much of it. Then there you go just make a metal plating and launcher fuel.

I beg to differ, I found metal fingers pretty close to my home base and they gave me like 200 uranium each. 40 uranium is enough to fill your launch thrusters up to max from empty by the way

I was saying that lauch fuel is easy but tedious. It's so easy that it shouldn't be part of the game. It wastes time.

I have not been so lucky. I've visited planets whose profile contained Uranium, and I walked away with 5 units.

Could just be I haven't encountered otherwise yet, but so far for me: where there is radiation, there is uranium. (Minus traps on cargo containers).

I find salt instead of uranium on EVERY radiated planet. About 20 planets i flew to. Not one single uranium. Only salty planets.

I just look at the markets and check ships for all materials. Then stock up. I find uranium somewhat regularly this way.

I finally found those "Metal Fingers" plant/growth thing. Using my mining laser I got like 2000 units. Use your scanner and look for yellow, vertical lines icon. That icon is used for other things too, keep in mind.

Planet tooltip sais, there schould be uranium. but there isnt. Its only salt, and depending on star color Emeril, Indium, Copper or the red stuff.

You are doing something wrong then. Are you sure you have mined those Metal Fingers? As said above, each metal finger you mine, gives you ~200 units of uranium.

Make sure you are scanning the rocks for the secondary element. The system I am in is like a finger shape and is a secondary element to ferrite dust. It is a radiated planet.
