Distress signals no crashed ships?
I am finding that after the NEXT update anytime I explore a distress signal on a planet there is no longer a crashed ship there that I can swap to? Am I missing something? Prior to the update when I would visit these sites there would be a crashed ship that needed repairs. Did this change after NEXT?

Not sure I only tried it once or maybe twice, either way the only ships I found so far are the huge crashed freighters, when searching the ditress signals. Hopefully they didn't replace all the crashed ships with freighters.

They aren't there all the time, just some of the times. Other times you get distress beacons for tech and no ship, but the beacon is always there.

That kind of sucks... hard enough to upgrade ships now have to be lucky with the crashed ones too? I have hit 3+ distress signals so far and no ship at any of them. Guess I will keep trying. :/

Easy way to find crashed ships is to fly around in first person view and use the ships radar. You will see a blip as you get close to one on the radar. Stop for a sec and if the blip dose not move that is a crashed ship . If the blip moves that is a NPC ship and can be ignored

wouldnt that depend on what you have the 1 key set up as a keybind for?

In my experience the transmission towers are busted and only send you to the "new player ship" spawn point. You can tell by the red globe distress beacon. Probably my number one most annoying bug right now.

hi lexx

the 1 key is "target next ship" mostly used for space battles. but if there is a ship anywhere within your long range (including crashed ship) it will target it. #2 key deselects targeted ship.

you can also use your close range ship radar (viewed in the center console of the ship) to look for blips. red blips are either enemy craft or crashed ships (color may have changed with next) blue blips are friendlies.

@op.. if you fly around and keep an eye out on your center console you will eventually find crashed ships.

all the best.

edit: and i have found crashed ships with the distress signal since next release.

There were some distress signal places that the ship did not exist in the game before this patch too, but this time it clearly is increased.

I found several crashed ships so far... along with an empty sites but I just thought it was my old starter ship crash site.

But the ships are less worthwhile now... Best to find a high value one then trade it for a repaired one.
