Don't enable tessellation in settings file
So tessellation is supported in the settings file but I would not turn it on. It does look better but it is very slow to react to camera changes and most terrain suffers from pop in as it tessellates the ground.

Tessellation looks great and replaces the normal map textures for actual 3D terrain features at no extra cost but it is very slow to react as I said.

Update: new experimental 15/8 renders this mod useless. Waiting patiently for you to update it. Love this mod by the way.

Admittedly I’m on an iPad ATM but I can hardly notice any difference between those screenshots.

Teselation is really evident in real motion, screenshots don't do it justice.

iPad resolution is 2048x1536, more than enough to notice a difference between the 2 screenshots. Hell, I have 20/200 vision (legally blind) and use a 1080p monitor and even I can see a difference. Does iPad not do pinch to zoom? I think the impression of depth whilst tesselation is enabled is quite aparent...

I play the game with a literal blindfold using Braille on a TI-82 streaming from my old Casio calculator-watch reflecting off a soap bubble off a dirty plate still in the dishwasher on an active cycle (dishwasher has a window) that I ate Skyline Chili off of 3 weeks ago in 1x2 resolution and EVEN I can see this...
