How do you deploy equipment from inventory?

you place it again with the build menu with the Z key

Press Z then choose what you wish to deploy, there is multiple menu's when you hit Z.

Yes. If you have 1 refiner in inventory. You can't click in refiner inside the inventory menu.

Press "z", choose the refiner.. and you aren't buy a second refiner.. you're putting you refiner again to the floor.

You just use the build menu {Z} by default, and place the item, it says it will use 1 (object) to build it instead of the components it takes the first time.
