Hmm..7 Frames on Opening screen "Loading Shaders"
Why? 1080Ti - 7820x 4.5 GHZ. 32GB RAM....um what?!?! Well maybe it will fix itself...maybe.

That intermitent lag in the galaxy loading screen has been there since launch and its even more noticeable now in multiplayer. Don't think they will fix it any time soon.

It gets better after you load the game once i never had 5fps since i loaded the game once it's usually at 30fps load and turn 60 once in game

Dropped low for me the first time launching next. After that, and waiting a good 5-10 minutes it seemed, loads really quick now.

17 minutes i had to wait on this screen first time booting it up....

Ran at 4 fps, 17 minutes wait, i ♥♥♥♥ you not.

Im in game now, and i range from 40fps and dip to 5-10 fps almost every 10 seconds.

Game is REALLY unstable, and you will notice, on that Shader screen, if you can manage to CTRL + ALT + DEL without causing complete catarophic failure to your pc, you will notice it uses up 7.1gb of RAM, this is just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ insane and stupidity at its best.

After the first load in it DOES get better, but nowhere near a playable state yet, optimization is killing this game.

Those dips might be because your GPU is short in VRAM. What's your GPU - Texture settings?

This is normal. If your rig is setup right it'll only do that the first time you launch the game. Stored shaders take up a lot of space and need a lot processing power to create them the first go around. After that it's simply a matter of the game loading shaders as needed.

The first time you launch the game its creating a shader cache, writing a bunch of files in the game's directory, nothing you can do about it and only happens once, also doesn't matter what kind of computer you have.

The shaders are loading, that's why. In the loading screen I get 10 fps but in the game I get more that 60 fps.

No this is not normal, go to your No Mans Sky game folder, then GAMEDATA>SHADERCACHE and delete everything in there. The next time you load the game, it should take you a hell of a lot short er to load. My issue was I had to literally wait 5mins to load in, I deleted the files in the shadercache and loaded the game back up and I was in about 30seconds.

It worked for me.

Wait, so now people judge games on the frame output of loading screens?
