Literally played NEXT For hours yesterday and now it loads me back from almost the START!! The hell! Lost a new ship, base, EVERYTHING!

Same experiance, luckily I only lost about 6hrs of playtime, my saves are showing the time that I logged off yesterday, but when I try logging into the save it starts my all over again.

Yes!! That is exactly what is going on with mine, shows the damn time I logged off, but puts me back, way back

SAME HERE... is it a wait and see sort of thing or move on is it FIXABLE?

I lost an entire farm inside my Freighter on my most progressed save after NEXT dropped on us. Millions worth of Units to farm and it's gone. All my suit/ship upgrades... gone. Hundreds of hours... wasted.
Glad the save editor was updated or I'd of quit altogether.

Same here. When I load my Savegame (I started a new game with the "Next" update) it start a new game. I didn't played with other and the network option was disabled.

I opened the save file with an editor and it shows all my stuff as being there, but it still boots me to a new planet with none of that stuff every time regardless. FeelsBadMan.

UGH!! I feel like not even playing this crap anymore, will it do this again? I wasted so much time and lost a new ship that I was grinding a ton to unlock the slots.

I lost all progress but was in no way playing coop, so it is not just a coop bug, but rather something that is just randomly happening.

I used it to get my suit/ship upgrades that it converted to Obsolete stuff. And gave myself Units to compensate for the loss of my interior farm on my Freighter. Beyond that it can be easy to abuse so use with caution if you dont want to ruin the game for yourself.

Ahh, ya, my save is pre-NEXT. 100+ hours. No way I was letting it go to waste and starting over.

I mourn for those who lost their saves, but i already made peace with starting a new one - ~300 hour save was canned because of next. I was kind of missing my toys, but i did not regret it.

As a guy who played 110+ hours since v1.0 and built its base on its started planet, I have to say I wouldn't be able to just "make peace". I don't care about regenerations, but I want to keep my saves.

Developers should know that.

I agree, and it is not excuse, but because of things like this i back up my saves occasionally - especially after a major update :/

Nonetheless, im sorry for your loss
