Treasures under the ground

Hello..

Yesterday i have began my game (old save delete and start new :) )

Know.. i found treasures under the ground.. and theses treasures.. how i can bring it up?

When i use the terrain manipulator the treasure it's just gone at a certain distance..

Has anyone an idea to solve this problem?

Normal Tech under the ground was not lost. Only the the three bar items.. :( :(

the underground relics are in caves, i got a bunch of them, but i did have that happen once or twice too where i was digging for them and they disappeared, dunno why.

If its below the "sand" level, you can't get to it. Its a common occurance in areas close to the limit.

I think they are destroyed by the terrain manipulator when the land gets ripped up. Could be intended, or a bug. I found that you need to just destroy the ground in quick bursts. When you do it may disappear or it may still be there. But you can still activate it using the proper key on the controller or keyboard.

Manipulating the "lost item" will destroy it, so you prob did that.

try to go around don't go straight for it.

Sorry, I misread your OP, thought I was replying to another discussion (loot below the sand level). If you haven't hit the sand level, its becuase you got too close, back off and re-seach, it should reappear on your scanner.

Also don't use grenades, they will destroy it.

i think it's a bug, then the normal tech which is at the underground was not be destroyed by manipulated terrain

You have to make sure the terrain manipulator is in mining mode, not manipulate mode. If it is in manipulate mode, you'll nuke whatever you are trying to dig up. In mining mode, you can dig around the buried object to gain access to it.

You need the manipulate mode to remove terrain... Mining can't help

I MINE up buried objects all the time. Spent hours yesterday doing it. The terrain manipulator in NEXT has two modes. One is the manipulate mode, one is the mining mode. If you don't use mining mode, you can't dig stuff up. Mining mode is required to mine mineral deposits, buried storage containers around freighters, etc.

Trust me. MINE with the terrain manipulator, don't manipulate.

If you are talking the subteranean treasures I had the same issue but it was just a tracking glitch was still down there in a cave once I dug down deep enough

Sorry, but the mining is not usable for these treasures.. I try it..

I'm sorry, your info is out of date. NMS Next changed the manipulator. The normal mining laser of your multitool is only used to mine certain things now. To mine other things, or alternatively...dig into the ground, you MUST use the mining mode of the TERRAIN MANIPULATOR.

I'll see if I can get some screenshots. NMS seems to have eaten my new saves for breakfast, so I'll have to get a new one going. But I've mined countless underground repositories of goodies, and you must MINE, and mine with the terrain manipulator, not the normal multitool mining laser. Once you switch to the terrain manipulator, you have to use the middle mouse button (default) to switch the mode of the terrain manipulator itself.
