OMG! Whispering Eggs!

I am on a barren, lifeless planet with tons of di-hydrogen. Unfortunately, it also has a lot of something called whispering eggs. I had no idea what they were so I shot one. When the egg was destroyed about 10 green monsters about the size of a pony with scorpion-like bodies, razor teeth, 5 glowing green eyes, and heads like the monsters in the movie Pitch Black poured out.

The monsters immediately rushed me and began to attack as soon as they burst from the egg. I barely made it back to my ship alive. I killed 3 of them as I was running away; they explode in a gooey mess when killed, but they're not easy to kill, they're fast, and you can only get a few before the rest are on you.

After making it into my ship, the monsters (I don't know what they're called in-game) just stood around my ship, waiting for me to come out again. Yeah? No. I flew away like anyone with common sense would do.

Whatever you do, especially if you're alone, if you see a whispering egg, don't shoot it. On the other hand, if you want an adrenalin rush as you run for your life, go ahead and shoot it. Heh.

Those eggs are worth so much. Made almost 2 million units earlier off 14 of them

prior to next patch I found a planet littered with those pearls I think, weren't in eggs just laying on ground, worth something like 60k each, i farmed them for so long same with emeril, i now don't need to worry about credits XD maybe i'll find another planet like that

They give you LOADS of money if you break the egg and pick up the core, land your ship close and then break 1 egg and pick up the core. Do that till you have gotten all the cores and youll have about 1mil units.

i think you're reffering to albumen pearls, not the same thing.

the sentinels come after you when you gather albumen pearls, but with the whispering egg once you blow it up a horde of aliens attack you.

i dont think the core or eggs even existed before NEXT.

i think you're reffering to albumen pearls, not the same thing.

the sentinels come after you when you gather albumen pearls, but with the whispering egg once you blow it up a horde of aliens attack you.

Yea those eggs don't but I found an albumen pearl in the egg by pressing E next to it
I remember them being on the ground on a planet prior to next

I've noticed that sentinels don't care if you harvest pearls from humming eggs. However, try to harvest them from sentient plants, and they'll instantly be alerted and come after you. Anyway, I just use the terrain manipulator to dig a funnel-shape below each patch of whispering eggs, since the horror critters currently have AI that is too stupid to chase after me underground. I just dig, clean out the entire clutch of eggs, and wait for the swarm to subside. I repeat with each clutch, and get filthy rich. :)

Create a base there, build a wooden wall around a group of eggs, shoot an egg in a cluster outside your wall, jetpack into your safe room when swarn appears and mine all the eggs inside your protected wall, wait for swarn to dissapate and see all the larva eggs for a couple mil per shot!

Bought a whole fleet of Freighters in an hour doing this!

iv been using that since i got the game, but i dont even bother with those eggs with the amount of money im making by simply scanning ♥♥♥♥

that best done with 2 people, one strafes the eggs the other picks them up, the monsters dont spawn that way

stand on an egg, creatures wont be able to attack you. Farm the eggs and collect. sell for big profit. do this until it is patched. I am sure standing on the eggs is a exploit.
