and their minecraft servers, lol. but that's not the point. I was just thinking off the top of my head, if i'd bothered to, i could have come up with something better.
What do you consider ruined? Anyone who cheats has a sketchy moral compass to begin with... So you telling me that the people upset over cheaters coming into their games are unjust? People play for different reason and to have their exprience disturbed in anyway by a cheater isn't fair to them. They payed for the game and are playing it the way it was meant to be played. Not everyone wants to be trolled by some low life hacker.
Localized cheating doesn't matter...that's not the point. The point is that there are cheaters who are going to use their cheats to bother others and in order to rid of them you have to rid of ALL cheaters. They should add the private lobbies and a ban system regardless of cheaters not because of cheaters. No developer in their right mind is going to be ok with some cheating in a game with mulitplayer. You can't just expect people to always mind their own business and do the right thing...if that were the case then no one would even know that cheaters were in the game.
life isn't fair. also, psa announcment: NOT ALL CHEATERS ARE BAD PEOPLE
I cheat, and I have a very refined moral compass; i'm sorry doing what I want in a virtual world that doesn't matter to begin with doesn't fit in your limited purview. cheating in a digital world that has no bearing on real life (unless it has to do with real money) is not something you should bring up morals with... I'd do many things in games (running over civvies in far cry/gtav) that i'd never do irl.
i'm starting to think they're too narrow-minded to accept the fact...
That actually says more about your moral compass than you can. If you consider yourself a decent person but can dismiss anyone elses frustration with you griefing them because "its just a digital world that doesn't matter" then you are conveniently forgetting that behind those avatars are other real people in order to justify what you do to have a good time. In other words, you have a good time at the expense of other peoples experience and chalk it up to not mattering because its not happening in real life. That's very narcissistic behavior and you probably only avoid it in real life because of the consequences.
The developers gave us the option to mod the game. There is an entire api built into this game. Mods can in effect do the same thing cheat engine does by changing memory values.
Another thing is, the developers made no effort to conseal the memory of this game. It is entirely exposed unlike games with EAC and Battleeye installed which consistantly moves memory blocks around to prevent trainers and cheat engine from honing in on a memory block.
To everyone else: As far as cheating in multiplayer, he has a point: It's crapy and your a crappy person for joining someone's multiplayer game with a cheated save because at the very moment you do, your cheats no longer affect JUST your gameplay.
BMW gives me the option to mod my vehicle too. But there are things that I can do to it that will get me arrested and other things I can do to it that will annoy the hell out of other people.
