What does a walker brain do?

Killed my first walker and got its brain, its worth ♥♥♥♥ all considering how hard it was to kill, so is there anything i can do with it?

I have some ship item i need, i think a shield piece, that needs a walker brain to make it. So walker brain is basicly a construction piece. Im patching right now again so cant look up what it was.

Several mid lv techs require it to build. Hold onto it.

Conflict scanner. Useless imo, you want the Economy Scanner before jumping but Conflict is useful for almost nothing.

They're used to make explosive drones, a temporary combat upgrade for frigate missions.

Sorry I mean easier if you wanted Explosive Drones. It was mentioned in the post above mine so I didn't quote but perhaps for clairty with so many posts in this forum...
