How to obtain Hermetic Seal AT THE START?

Making a new topic just for this, because the other one's main issue is gonna burry this one. So how do I do this one?

1) Guide desn't tell me or hint to me
2) I need it to repair pulse engine, which is annoying to have to do from start, considering that logically isn't something you need just to launch your dumb ship in the air.

Need serious help!

The tutorial does tell you. At one point, you have to go to a base and there you get the seal. The only reason you don't know what to do, yet, is that you haven't completed all the steps to repair your ship. Once you've partially repaired it, the next step will occur.

Follow the instructions. Every person I have watched struggle on youtube with this issue is simply failing to read what is right in front of them.

You need to partly repair the engine. So just create a metal plate and put that in first, then the tutorial should give you the next step. If that didn't work it could be bugged.

the tutorial literally says exactly what you need to do right on your screen at all times, follow it step by step and it will lead you to everything you need.

i guarantee it is telling you exactly waht to do right now.

you dont have to randomly press buttons, it tells you to build the signal booster, and tells you what button to press to open the menu to do it.

I agree that the tutorial explains everything. Unfortunately for me I have to LEAVE the planet, since the navigation marker is on another system. Very funny when I have to repair my ship first to leave the system....

You have to scan for a base that sells it and that uses an extremly rare item gl hf.

i know there are a few replies already so i will only say this

1 the tutorial tells you what to do (quest notes in bottom right of screen) it eve tells you to press P to make it your active quest :)

2 i had almost the same issue when i bought yesterday... it does seem VERY confusing to the new player especially since you should see it as a practically new game (they rebuilt virtually from the ground up!)

but once you realise the above... stick with it and expect hours of fun

Just a quick heads-up: there's a bug that put the objective for the hermetic seal on another planet. If this happens to you (it happend to me), unfortuntely you have to delete your savegame and restart again.
