Need sodium to survive the 1st 10 minutes...

First thing you do is get sodium to repair your suit. Except i have yet to start anywhere with sodium. What kinda ♥♥♥♥♥♥ tutorial is this?

Same here, I just tried 3 times and died within 5 min each time running in heat looking for sodium.

The first planet is not an easy one. It's always going to test your mettle. You need to hit C and scan more often for sodium. It's there.

If you're playing on Normal, that is. If you're playing on Survival, sit down and shut up. It's supposed to be hard.

NO... First thing is to determine if the palnet is shelter or sodium first... If shelter find shelter.

There is not one way at start, you need to be flexible... Shelter first is almost always a good stategy. You suit will recherge to 100% in shelter. Then you have more breathing room.

Fix scanner, hit C, head towards yellow. On any fresh start though you want to head STRAIGHT for your broken ship and pick things up on the way without stopping.

sodium is on every single planet, every one.

no matter where you are, you're going to be a 30 second run or so from some sodium.

first thing you do, is if you see a cave, run into it, if not, first, shoot some of the little rocks to get some ferrite and fix your scanner, the scanner will show you where any nearby sodium and oxygen are.

once you grab a little of both, you're pretty much set.

also, if your ship is close enough right away, you can also take shelter in the cockpit.

If you are in trouble, use the photo mode(this will pause the game.) and "scan" with your eyes the sorrounding searching yellow plants.

I just started playing yesterday and I started to get annoyed right off the bat when I was spawned on a planet with a Toxic Atmosphere. I had no idea what I was suppose to do and was about to just quit and refund. Then after my first death I couldnt let this BS Game beat me a second time, figured out what to do, found my ship, and played for the next several hours without realizing it lol

Met up with a random player who showed me the egg farming method of getting money.. and now I got an A Class Fighter ship, a gun with 21 slots, and a decent start of a home base I think. Just wish that "Tutorial" was a bit more informative at the start so I didnt almost rage quit lol

That is a good exploit... I used to use photomade a lot in the old version...

The initial game start is a bit rough. I died 2 or 3 times before I sorted it out.

I think they should at least stick you on a planet that isn’t trying to kill you.

But it’s very doable. Just keep at it.

At start for unlucky people can be the only solution, specially with the unstable scanner.

Many people will not have problem if the scanner isn't bugged.
