Hope pc still has some undiscovered!
That's a myth. Just marketing fodder.
Back when I played daily, I came across claimed systems and planets nearly every day. Drove me nuts. I restarted my game over 40 times hoping to get seeded in some unpopulated part of this supposedly 2^64 planet universe, but it never happened, and I gave up trying.
Given the player base was less than 500 at the time, my experience was statistically impossible unless, of course, the game is not as random as everyone foolishly thinks it is.
I think I'm on the eighth galaxy now? I don't know, I've given up counting lol. Either way, I think I spotted a single discovered star system in the galaxy I'm in now. The more galaxies you can get to, the fewer people you'll find.
There are more worlds than could be discovered if billions of us played this game all day, every day.
User experience will vary.
You do know that (2^64)/(2^8) = 2^56, right? You sure that's the source of the issue? Really?
1 in 72057594037927936 chance that me and some other players would all wind up in the same spot 40 times in row.... hmmm... okay. You must be right.
