Random starting planets in a procedural galaxy can be cruel. Just restart and put it down as a bad dream after the cheese sandwhich.
Same. I'm also having sentinels swarm and attack me when I try to mine anything???
Don't do it in front of them. Wait till they leave or get out of their scan direction and make sure there's no other drones around. Be encouraged to wander while mining not standing still.
I haven't tested next yet, but before, every time you started a new game you would be on a poisonous/cold/radiation planet. Also if you are mining and the sentinels start scanning stuff near you, stop and go mine somewhere else.
The first part of getting your ship fixed sucks for new players. Once you get it fixed, it gets a bit easier. Then you learn the game mechanics and it gets easier. Then you learn how to make boat loads of units and it gets ridiculously easy.
