Toggle Camera Hotkey

Is it only possible to switch this in the quick menu? Not seeing a hotkey option unless I'm blind.

Yep this camera is so stupid its so weird it makes my eye confused and its hard to navigate ingame while climbing etc.. weird its so WEIRD..

Its good for taking selfies but not gameplay!

Hit X for menu, go to unitilies, hit F to select, go to mode you want and hit F

Not what I'm asking.. i know to hit x and go into utilities.. Im asking if there is a simple hotkey I am missing. Like press K and it switches between the two.

Seems like it doesn't exist and this is the only way. Even with controller. This needs a straight hotkey.

Also the mini menu works weird now, having to use arrow keys to cycle through everything is a bit frustrating.

Camera in Utilities choises to Ctrl+0-9 is better hotkey.
then just tap 0-9 to quick camera change.

You can use ctrl+0-9 on any thing in the quick menu to bind it to the hotkeys of 0 to 9. I personally have photo mode bound to 1 and the sit emote bound to 2.

You can also hotkey your different multitools. I have 1-3 as different MTs and set the camera switch to 0

Useful start for a hotkey layout:

0 Photo Mode
1 Pointing pet direction
2 Camera toggle
3 Pet recall
4 Throw Bait (stops predators)
5 Multi-tool (Mining, Defensive)
6 Second Multi-tool (Weapon, Aggressive)
7 for the Playlist (music on foot or in ship)
8 Emote 'Thanks'
9 Minotaur AI toggle or Call Companion

Other combinations to preference. Hotkeys are set using two keys, the Cntrl Key + Number Key together.

Any Quick Memu hotkey set, (0-9) can also be applied to a controller, using Steam Controller Configuration accessible in-game, or directly with Steam UI open. For robust results start Steam UI in Big Picture mode designed for console display, when customising a controller.

On Foot it can be useful to have Camera Toggle (hotkey on 2) applied using Steam Config to add a double tap button to controller L1. For Ship flight a long press might apply key 2 to the Left Joystick Click L3 to toggle camera view.

Only three legacy keys might be applied to a controller to keep things simple to setup. With only three numbered hotkeys, any Quick Menu commands may be swapped to any of the three chosen number hotkeys and indirectly they will swap on the controller, without needing to apply further set up.

For best predictable results In the Steam Controller Configuration menus, choose Legacy Keys to apply the 0-9 hotkeys, to the preferred buttons on a controller.

Just a note about binding the 0-9 keys, they bind to the position in the quick menu, which means if you switch between expedition and main save and have preferred multi-tools selected in one game but meah multi-tools in the other, then you will get the meah multi-tools and not the ones you want until you return to the game where you set the binds.

Basically the setting is save game wide and not unique to each play scenario in the save :( I like to have a key bound to land my ship or switch between two multi-tools and found to my cost when going back to the main game, the selected ship and multi-tools were none of my preferred ones, reset the binding and the expedition ship and multi-tools were then wrong, sure its minor, but it will annoy you.
