Is it a fresh install or did you upgrade? In any case, I would kill the program, remove the shader cache and try again.

Edit: if it's a fresh install and it's just been a few minutes, wait a bit longer. It can take some time.

It can take quite a long time if you start the game for the first time after the update (or in general) because the game has to create the shader cache again. It can take a really long time that you would think it's stuck but don't worry, just be patient and it will eventually finish. Next time you start the game it will be MUCH faster.

watching some streamers they just let it sit an wait takes a while but it load in eventually.

try to hold E, if i remember right, it was the same i were stuck at release.. :) there was an E button, not good visible

Stuck on loading shaders, then crashes on desktop, nice game you got there.

Imagine that a huge overhaul that needs to load in and make sure you got recommended specs or better too peeps. Don't be that guy who tries to play with a potato PC then cries the game needs optimization etc etc.

Took a while at my end too (about 3 minutes at 9fps). The universe has to regenerate I assume, that why it is a bit of a rough start.

Shouldn't crash, but first loading of the shaders is taking a while since release, you can search for your shaders folder and delete this, this can help!

I have 2 hours gameplay of this game and its all from that loading shade screen. I JUST BOUGHT THE GAME
