While i was hyperspeeding my way back and forth to planets collecting my resources, (I know teleporters exist but i like doing this from time to time to encouter anomalies) I encountered a green and gold cog machine thingy..

it gave me {{ ... 716 ... 731 ... 815 ... 605 ... 982 ... }}

Can anyone explain me what it is? I tried looking around and i did not see any answers to this

Yes as someone else here stated. Numbers stations were used primarily during the Cold War to pass info to intelligence agents using short wave radio stations, the #'s broadcast are known as a one-time pad cipher.

Lore-wise, my impression is that the ones with the numbers under a thousand are supposed to be what the antennas are picking up for the puzzle buildings, and the ones with an altered portal address are what the signal booster is picking up.

The ones with the addresses are broadcasting the address of the system they're in, with some extra digits inserted.

Using this simple system i was able to go to various new locations. with Anomalous Numbers Station coordinates.

. using others screenshots and numbers from some others, sometimes the portal would error out but still take me to a location. where i couldn't use my map or summon my freighter due to portal interference. but the coordinates only worked in the euclid galaxy, none of the portals in other galaxies would accept the coordinates...

found a bunch of Anomalous Numbers Station on reddit and converted them to portal oordinates . and they work! traved to each location see if they worked or not.

I explored one system a little better, than others. and was a Vy'keen quest to do for a multitool. think it was the first series or top of numbers i decoded. and was a long winded traveler at a planet surface outpost who gave me many options of dialog, but didn't save to able choose them all. if back off from the traveler he loses all his dialog if talk to him again. and find out what that reward was for correct response. looking at the systems is a lot variation in hostility, resources and sentinels activity varies a lot from none to attack on sight in swarms... ofc no base building. and did have a lot of space encounters of random events.
edit: was a space station at each location, didn't check yet if i can go back the areas with the portal terminus.

Not to burst you guys' bubbles, but the anomalous numbers station means nothing. There's no puzzle, no memorizing, it's just a numbers station. Number stations exist in the real world too. Number stations are radio stations that just play audio of Text-to-Speech of numbers for years, kinda creepy tbh. No one knows what the code is supposed to be except the people broadcasting and the people meant to receive the numbers. Search it up on Google if you don't believe me. There's nothing to it, it's just a cool little thing you can discover in the game.
