Not getting coordinates for living ship quest.

So I got my void egg... spoke to the ship in space and it sent me to a system. I got to the system with 3 planets and the egg says it wants to go to a specific one.

I went the the one with anomalies but it gave me no coordinates. So I went to the other 2 planets and the moon in the system and got no coordinates...

Has anyone else had this happen?

what did the egg tell you were the desired characteristics of the planet? BTW you need not land on the correct planet, just getting close enough to pop up nav coordinates on your HUD will suffice to make the egg talk.

Yeah it said Strange color and Anomalies. I flew into the atmosphere, landed, walked around, took scans.. nothing. The only planet with anomalies was the Ossified one but I went to all the other ones too.

Yeah, for the coords to show, you just need to get below 2000u

I had an issue similar, i went to the marked system and it still told me to go to the marked system... I wasn't prepared to wait for a patch, I have reported the issue multiple times (which still hasn't came out). I used a save editor from github to skip that part of the mission. It seems each instruction increases the progress of the mission in the json file, so you gotta bump up the number quite a bit. Mine was "progress 7" and I had to put it to progress 17 for it to give me recipies and continue to the next instruction.

It's not complicated to do but I'm terrible at explaining things so I'm hoping somebody better than me can help out more lol

Are you looking for the coordinates in the right place? They come up in the message text in the ships HUD. Have to be in first person.

I did this first leg last night and had no issues once I figured out to find the right planet.

Yeah, the HUD just says the egg wants to visit a planet in the system and to inspect it.

For me what the egg wants is sort of vague. PITA, but I find that just landing on every planet/moon in the target system will bring me to it.

I just revisited all the planets, still no coordinates. I'm just going to try the hacking thing to get past that step.

Same problem. I'm on the planet, Erpetrith Raya, which you land on when you go thru the Euclid portal. The egg says it wants "pink and blue" planet, which this is. The wiki points to this specific planet. I've been to all the rest. Went back thru the portal but it just says to go back thru again. So here I am back on Erpetrith Raya and it still says "wrong planet signature".
I'll try the hacking method too I guess =/

It's not really a hack, it's just editing a number with a save editor. Add me if you need help with it and I'll try to explain it. It's really not complicated xP

Yes it works just fine. You just need Java runtime installed and download the tool. You can find it on google.

I have a similar problem. I was told to look for a pink and blue planet, but I visited every planet in the current system and the mission did not 'activate'. So I tried warping following the current mission trail. I've probably warped 20 time and still not seen the blue icon for the destination of the current mission. I would love to know how to hack my way out of this.
