Space Jellyfish?

While using pulse engine i stopped for an event it told me about and it was just a big translucent sorta space jellyfish, i think it was called a plasmic horror or something close to that. It dropped Twitching Worms(Terrifying Sample), which talks about a curse. Wiki talks about the item drop but not how i obtained it. Anyone know anything about this or what the curse it about?

It's one of the 48-hour-old random encounters, so not much is known about it right now. Was it just a trade commodity?

The item drop? Pretty sure yeah its only used for trading, its worth about 250,000. I'm just curious about the curse, if it actually does something

No clue, but very unlikely. I can think of a few ways that could be done in the mechanics, but none are likely. If I encounter it, I'll comb through my save file to look for stuff.

After you killed it, did you alo get a Message (something like): Sub-Audible Transmission? It seemed to hint at something, but i am not sure to what.

I was able to trade with the one I encountered (space jelly).

Its how I advanced past needing living water.

Yes there are 2 different types. The "real" Jellyfish and the Antimatter one (that looks kind of simmilar, but not really).

When i killed it, it just dropped the item at that was it

One was in the living ship quest...don't kill it'

hey, i saw one too and because of it does nothing i kill it. It drops an item called gloaming eye (terrifying sample, tradeable - 250k). The item description also says about curse and will follow the owner until it being sell... so weird...

in another occasion, i met weird object thing called ancient gate(?), a space creature that has active portal on its body. It eject me to a random system 400,000 LY away....

Haven't seen the gate but the jellyfish was in a questline, i meant don't shoot the one in the quest. I accidentally shot the alien mothership and had to reload lol. I've seen derelict frieghters but as far as i could tell they are just eye candy.
