"Find a marked system" ~ Is this marked system supposed to be created nearby? If so, I have no found any nearby and it wont show me a way point or pathway at all.

I have a similar problem!

Except I did get a marker, I got to that system, the marker isn't there anymore and it's still telling me to find the marked system.

I have opened 3 tickets, two yesterday and one today after I went into experimental. I've tweeted them and reported it in the Reddit megathread.

Until it's fixed I have a broken mission in my log and this mission series doesn't have the reset option, even if you travel far away... :/

go back to the anomaly and wait a few minutes before you leave so the quest has a chance to advance.
Stoneball Feb 20, 2020 @ 3:09pm
I have same issue. I spent 5 minutes in anomaly and it didn't help.

Just tried it for myself and I got the same result. :(

The marked system will be displayed in the Map provided the Starbirth mission is the current/active mission. It is usually only 1 or 2 jumps away.

Now once you have arrived in the correct system you’ll have to look at the egg and see what kind of planet it describes. Once you enter the upper atmosphere of the correct planet, the display will update with latitude & longitude coordinates. Fly there to continue the mission.

I checked to see if it was the current active mission, and even tried changing back and forth from other missions, because that has helped in past missions. No help. And the map does not have "current mission" as an option. I have spent several hours trying things that I have learned in 500 hours of NMS and nothing has helped.

Erm, indeed the map does have current mission, Altas Path, Galaxy core, etc. it is changed using the arrow keys (L & R I think)

I’m on my 4th run & that’s how every one has worked. Perhaps a save quit & relaunch??

I think me and Stoneball both have the same issue. The mission does not show in the map while it is currently active. The "active mission" option is greyed out.

For me, it did show me what system to go to, once I got there it was still telling me to travel to the marked system (with no marker). When I leave the system there's still no marker. Nothing is progressing. It's a bug.

Happy it worked for you though. Congrats lol.

As a test, I opened another one of my saved games and bought an egg. Still waiting for mission to start.

There is no nearby marker or marked system for Starbirth. The mission is set as active.

I found my marker by zooming way out, it was 7 jumps away.

Can confirm that I've got a similar problem. I'm at the same stage of the mission and it bugged out. I went to the coordinates that it told me to go to; however once I got there, there was no structure or anything to interact with. The mission log also updated to say to find an appropriate system (which I was already in).

I've tried waiting in the anomaly for a while as well as warping as far as I could go multiple times with no luck.

Looks like there are some bugs that need squishing still. :steamsad:

Just tried the experimental branch, no luck. Looks like I'll be poking around the save file to see if the mission can be reset

I tried it myself. In the save editor the mission is known as "^BIO_SHIP4", my progress states "7". I've tried putting it to 8, 1, 0, no luck. Nothing changes and when I check back in the editor it's back at 7. (I created a backup before editing).

My guess is either an official fix or if anything is different when the save editor is updated or even other mods..
