Void EGG not starting the quest...

So i was gifted a Void Egg at the Nexus by some very nice player...
he told me i had to warp with the egg in my inventory and a quest would then start...
Nothing happening thouhg... It is that i MUST buy the egg myself to make it start?

just fly about using the pulse engine... eventually a ship should intercept you...

No. A lot of people have been "gifting" eggs, it's just that the amount of time it takes for the mission to start is random. As long as the egg is in your backpack, you'll be fine... eventually.

Yeah, pulse is what you want for the whole quest chain.

Untrue, for the beginning you want to pulse drive around the system. The second part of the first leg makes you warp a couple times though before continuing the quest.

You have to warp to get to the marked destination, but to trigger interactions like "await contact", you pulse. I did all of them last night.

It actually worked just to let you know!
Quest suddenly spwaned when travelling some long time after I got the egg...
I'm now at the 1st countdown... hate these long timelocks :P
