void egg mission not starting

So, I got the Void Egg and am jumping around systems, but the mission does not start. Any ideas on how to start the mission to get the organic ship?

I did the same, do not jump. There is a notification of a living ship soon after leaving anomoly. You need to talk to it via the ships comms.

I couldnt get it to pop up after that, so I bought a new one, left the anomoly with it and just pulse drove around until the game says "Hey idiot slow down and look at this!" After that it will tell you to warp to a system. The egg will have a description on it saying what type of planet (colorful and extreme is what ive seen so far). The quest should hold your hand from then on. (though using locs is a pita)

Do you remember the system? I couldnt remember the system, its possible if you go back to that system it will pop again. You could also try just pulse driving around a system for awhile see if it pops.

Not really, you could do that in a week. 300*7+1200 = 3300

The weekend missions can be a pain, but the daily missions are stupid-easy.

For future missions: any time it tells you to await communication, just pulse around; you don't need to warp.

I bought the Void Egg and got the message after leaving the Anomaly and responded, then I landed at a space station. Didn't get another message after 3 or 4 jumps and I was starting to worry I screwed up. But then I jumped again into an inhabited system. Got the message, responded, then pulsed for 10 seconds or so and got a message prompting me to drop out of pulse, then I got the quest.

So, I managed to get another egg from a friend, exited the anomaly, pulsed for 20 seconds and then the mission started.

Be careful, was on the other side of a portal when the mission triggered. I got a location that was unreachable due to the portal interference and now it seems like I won't be able to get a new one, unless more wandering is necessary to re-trigger it even at that stage.

I was confused on how to start it, did a bit of googling and someone said you had to warp a bit.(I was running around looking for an NPC to start it cause Ive been away from NMS for too long)

It is the second part that you have to warp, and the first you hang around. I just have to eat 3200 for my reading comprehension skills.

So I got the egg and got to the system and got to the right planet. I got some incomplete coordinates which it said would be refined when I got close. Several problems. I can't see the cordinate readout on my ship screen I landed on the planet and futzed around until I got close to the basic coordinates but no cigar. What are you looking for and how do you find it?
