Ammonia hotspots?
So, I am on a toxic world, the scanner says that the planet contains Ammonia, I have scanned roughly 25ish gas hotspots yet I am unable to find any Ammonia. Is it just very rare? Or is it not available as a deep mining/refining spot?

You're just getting unlucky, unfortunately. The element is determined based on the ones listed for the planet and every one has an equal chance.

Just for clarification, if you are looking at gas hotspots, you won't find any ammonia. You need to use the deep-level mineral deposit mode.
Mine various plants on those planets . Ammonia does have areas where you need the terrain thingy ,

From the catalogue " Local mineral extract, typically found in large deposits or extracted from common minerals after inspection with an Analysis Visor".

You extract it with your Terrain Manipulator if in deposit form ( typically green )
or with your Mining Laser ( if part of a common mineral ).

Oh, yeah... Thank you all for the answers and help, I of course assumed that something that is a gas IRL would be a gas in the game, so I was looking for gas nodes and not mineral nodes, found one earlier today.

Thanks for the help!
