Best way to get storage augmentations?
So i've got a fighter I want to max out slot wise and I need a decent source of nanites too (Upgrade class of ships) and I figured out melting down ships kills 2 birds with one stone;

1. Augmentations
2. Upgrade modules to sell for nanites

So what would be the best way to get ships to scrap?

Plus I noticed that not all ships give you a storage augmentation so is there any that give you them for sure? Is it just luck?

Thanks guys :)

The higher the class of the ship you melt the higher chances of receiving storage augmentation, my tip is to buy any cheap A class ships in space stations( like 2-5 million units) and melt.

My method, found an A class crashed ship location, built a base near it, keep going back to it and claiming/salvaging the same ship over and over.

Exotic explorers are also a great source. 3 augs on average per melt and tons of S-class upgrades to sell or use yourself. Check NMSCoordinateexchange on reddit for a first wave space station spawn and farm from there.

Exotic Explorers? Is that a variant of Exotic (Squid etc) or do you mean a S class explorer?
