Finding Eden Hub thru warping
Anyone ever done it? In guide to get there, they say "warp to about 128.325 LY from core. Done it. Than what? Spent hours searching the useless map, could not find a region called Harneg Nebula....

You would need the coordinates and help from pilgrim star path and black hole suns website. Never gone there but pretty easy to navigate if you know where you want to go.

I did it. I used the pilgrim star path. Stopped every once in a while and put out a signal beacon to get my coordinates.

I am still working on getting there. However, I did portal there and stopped at at the space station and the Eden planet. The planet, or solar system, then showed up in my discoveries. Under discoveries you can tag with a waypoint. Next pick waypoints in your galactic map. It should, I'm hoping, lead me to Eden. Keep in mind when you are 128.325 LY from the galactic center, you could be on the wrong side of the galaxy. Given a circular galaxy structure that is a ring about 800 LY around :steamfacepalm:

thx dudes. i`m using the pilgrim map now. Looks like i`m at the opposing side from the center ... In game map is useless for navigation ...? Why the hack after all these years, hello games never made it functional???

You could add me and get you into Eden Hub

thx, but i really want to get there, or as a matter of fact , to any known location ,just using navigation.

Ah OK then it is best to travel there once with the portal so that the system is listed
and then back and set nav point and plenty of warping
can take a long time if you don't have a good warp ship my ball exotic makes e.g. over 2500Lj
and needs from the outside to the center about 300 jumps I have already crossed a few galaxies.

It does take a while I won't lie lol i've done it as well used the pilgrim star path after warping all over gods creation with in the general area LOL.. 100 or so plus warps ( that was just when i was close by LOL. ) one can do it it's just not a totally easy trip. but if you're head strong it can be achieved.

I have tried it
warmed from one of my center bases to the Eden Hub
74 jumps and about 1 ½ hours
since only the first systems are displayed as waypoints it is a little bit of a mystery what direction to fly in since I wanted to use the 2500 Lj as good as possible and towards the end only the waypoints that are displayed are approached, not that you fly past

It took three years to display the galaxy we pop-up in! :D Patience young Skywalker. Learn the ways of Lord Murray. It also took three years to remove the distance indicator to a waypoint marked planet in the discoveries list!

The way pointing and finding works quite well but up to about 3000LY jumps. The idea is to use Black Holes to jump massive distances, then check the distance to the centre and if further away than before, reload your last save and choose an alternative nearby black hole, then check the distance again.

The concept of NMS is really about getting lost and exploring. If you want more precise travel then use the Portals (or multi-player invite or the Anomaly teleporter) but remember you have to actually explore and travel exclusively to any portal discovered planet. By any other form of travel you have immediate direct access by teleporter without journeying along waypoints to a planet on the other side of a portal..

The journey is arguably the focus of the game and really has no end and you can explore, or build or gaze at sunsets, battle or whatever for ever, until you evolve a VR headset out of your forehead.just in time for retirement and settling down on your favourite planet. :D

ok, made it there, black holes to close to center, than jumping manually ...a lot! Made the whole game worth while... And first contact with human player when not at NEXUS hub.... Hope game evolves into a true multiplayer experience... With all those bases ,could only see 1 player.... Of course, after lone traveling , it was still a good experience ...

welcome to Eden hub

I made it back to Eden Hub (I started a new save.) using the Pilgrim Map. It took about four black hole jumps before Eden Hub was close to the line between me and the galactic center. By this time I was about 300K LY from the center. From then on I just kept jumping toward the center and every few jumps checking back with the Pilgrim Map. I eventually found a system I recognized that was about 130 LY from the hub. Interestingly, the Pilgrim Map did not work when I was that close. It said I was zero LY away and too far?? Even that close it took some searching to find PardisePlanet Eden, partly because that rename did not pop up right away.

I restored my base on Puscuria in the Rikawara system (128 LY from Eden)

I think all black holes jumps put you closer to the center. So, other than breaking upgrades, it helps in getting closer.
