I can't access the space anomaly [FIXED]
I'd not played for a year or so, and when I logged back in, I no longer had access to the space anomaly. The mission for it now simply says "Board the space anomaly", but the directions for it just point me to the galactic core. Does anyone have any idea how to resolve this without starting a new game? I've got a fair bit of stuff I don't want to lose.
EDIT: Scroll to the bottom of the thread for what to do with the save file editor to fix

You summon the anomaly to you now the same way you summon your freighter. Is that what is not working?

Yes, essentially. The option is no longer there at all, and the mission seems to have reverted to before I found it. I'd be fine with doing the mission again, but the directions for it are the exact same as for the galactic core on my map

Okay, I am a a loss for why then. Unless you need to highlight a certain mission in the log menu or do the several warps thing to reset it. Sorry I can't be of more help, too tired. Good luck finding the solution, I would think that there is something that needs to be triggered to get it working for you. Win 7 by any chance? There is an issue with doing the anomaly missions with it, IIRC.

Thanks anyway pal!

Did some digging and found this link that may help:

Hope that works out for you if you decide to try that route.

Are you sure you checked the X menu- it is a circle/ball looking icon. It just pops in based on where you place the aspect of it now similar to when you call your freighter.

It is a built in feature so I can't think of how you could even have the game open without that control.

yeah absolutely positive, unfortunately. I can spawn my freighter and everything, but no option for the anomaly. I think the game updating a bunch since I last opened the save maybe caused some issues, might try and speed my way through another save to see if it works in a fresh save.

Thanks so much! Think I'd found that, I've set the value of "Mission Progress" as everything from 1 through to 5, but nothing seems to have changed anything. Even what it says in the log seems to not change at all which is bizzare. I'm fully closing the game, editing, then reopening the save as well.
Might have to accept that I just can't accsess it using this save, unless i can find the bit of the JSON file that activates the ability to summon it.

Found it!
So, using this save editor: https://nomansskymods.com/mods/no-mans-sky-save-editor/
and then going to edit, then "edit raw JSON data" or something like that, you can change the raw save file.
Scroll right the bottom, and there is an option called "HasAccessToNexus". change that from "false" to "true" and it's all sorted!
Thanks for the help folks.

Haven't looked at the JSON in awhile so didn't know that was there. But great to hear that you have solved the issue. Have fun!
