How do i raise or lower an item vertically before placing it, with the terrain manipulator please?

I'm also having a problem with palcing of pre-built rooms and walls, i can rotate them and move them on a horizontal plane, but i cannot raise or lower them despite my best efforts to find out how, can someone tell me how please?

Easy way is to build a ground level room, attach to the top of it and delete the ground level room if you don't want it. There may be tricky ways to get more precision, but not aware of any.

Edit: I guess I should amend that you can basically use any individual pieces to build up to a specific height. Then either create a wall to attach a corridor or build a floor and you can start adding pre-builts.

Raise them? Floors must be in contact with the terrain and walls must be in contact with the floor or above another wall. You can't have floating walls.
Unless you do the trick to delete the lower part as stated above.

actually i have another question if anyone is still there, i dont want to make another thread and clutter thr forum as it were. Is it possible to buy a class C ship, and upgrade it so much that it becomes a class S ?

Yes, just use the ship upgrade tool on the upgrades side of the station. Be aware it is extremely expensive to use, but I do plan to take a C class and do that at some point.

I have 100,000 nanites, and that may not be enough on it's own.
