With six ships and a very large selection of ship types you could change out every week if it is a problem.
Better possibility- get rid of the money making crap and just explore and enjoy the game.
'Far back in the mists of ancient time, in the great and glorious days of the former Galactic Empire, life was wild, rich, and on the whole, tax-free. .... . But this was perfectly natural and nothing to be ashamed of, because no one was really poor - at least no one worth speaking of. And for these extremely rich merchants life eventually became rather dull and it seemed that none of the worlds they settled on was entirely satisfactory: either the climate wasn’t quite right in the later part of the afternoon, or the day was half an hour too long, or the sea was just the wrong shade of pink. And thus were created the conditions for a staggering new form of industry: custom-made luxury planet building. etc...
However As Ford states...
'Magrathea is a myth, a faery story! It's what parents tell their children about at night when they want them to grow up to become economists!'
So probably not.
I was passing out Apple Cake of Lost Souls and Chocolate Cake in the Nexus earlier. I've taken to filling my collection and finding all of the ingredients and edibles. Not really paying much attention to my bank rising to the limit. I'll find some neat stuff to do with it.
That'll set you back about 15 billion, assuming you use units for all the upgrades.
As for new ideas, yeah. I think building an actual space station (hey, we could re-purpose those abandoned ones in red systems!) is probably the most logical thing.
Just make everything super expensive, since it's a super optional objective. Maybe we could summon it like the Nexus, but instead it's our own personal death star XD
No idea where this free ship is after a quest .
I went to where the guy was and got gang banged by sentinels . I suppose that ship is no more .
You'll keep getting the opportunity for a free one until you actually collect it, so dont worry.
