can't switch to terrain manipulator [solved]
I've just bought a new multi-tool - deconstructed the boltcaster to free up space. However now when I try to switch to the TM using 'g' nothing happens - it's stuck on laser.

I've reinstalled the boltcaster and now it will switch between boltcaster and mining beam.
Tried restarting from saved game - same deal. Restart the whole game - same deal.
Tried remapping the weapon mode button - no dice.
Middle mouse button for secondary weapon mode doesn't do anything that I can see.

What am I missing - can't find any related discussions or reddits - help!

Does the multitool have the terrain manipulator installed and fueled.?

yes a TM and an advanced TM installed and fuelled.

Sorry - going mad - the advanced Mining laser is what I've got - but the TM is def installed and fuelled

Ok - not sure what happened but I have restarted my whole computer and restarted game - seems to be working again! Thnx to tkwoods for replying :-)
