still can not play on laptop question

starting game on laptop still stops/freezes during shader stuff. friend has suggested upgrading ram from 8gb to 16gb. anyone know if this would help? hate to pay for ram and install if not going to help.

We need more than just your ram. If you're on a dated laptop I'm going to assume your hardware is just dated and can not keep up with the demand of the game in general. Look up how to find the specifications of your system (whether it's 32 or 64 bit, what the CPU and GPU are) and then post here

But you are still missing a real Graphic Card.
And a Craphic Card is also part of the minnimum Specs ^^
