That's what random lotteries mean.
You can play Powerball for 60 years and never win.
I just never understood why that would be a good game mechanic.
I just cheat because it's too bad of a design to deal with. Cool idea on paper but fails miserably in practice.
Even with the mod I use I still spend hours and hours (way more than I"d like to) searching for the right ship design and color. All the mod does is ensure it's an S class and has max inventory for it's Type.
Now you also need to have the money, and be in a ship you want to trade if you have 6 already, etc. or the chance is gone, and not likely to see that ship again.
So even with cheating I'm having a hard time and don't have all the ships I want.
Not only that, but then I'll find a design I like and they gimped the Inventory for that design. And even with max inventory mod, it's still not good. So I don't want it anymore...
How many hours should I have to play to get there? 100? Which I'm almost there. 200? 500? 1000? 5000? 1 Million? I mean what's reasonable amount of time to play a game? Or even just one simple part of a game like getting a ship?
It's like they're trying to make a game that lasts forever. That's the worst idea I've ever heard. Like a movie that lasts forever... just bad.
You said the ships were the same in every system... did you not? that is a bare faced lie. You claim there are no haulers in Gek systems? That is another lie. In fact, there are haulers in EVERY SINGLE INHABITED star system. Claiming otherwise would be yet another lie.
Just because you dont like how they look or cant afford them doesn't mean they aren't there... they absolutely are there.
hi val.
to quote:
"Every star system has 21 different ship designs: 7 shuttle types, 3 ships of each specialist type (Fighter, Hauler, or Explorer), 1 Exotic, and 4 other specialist ships based on that system's dominant race. S-class ships will spawn more often in rich economies. Note that a ship's properties are randomized each time it lands. The only consistency is in the design and thus tier. If you are already in a wealthy system, it can be beneficial to wait for your favorite design to have a good dice roll. During multiplayer a NPC ship can have a different class for each player. The properties are rolled for each one individually"

if you're looking for hauler type s class. youre best luck will be in a Gek system that is "high wealth" you can read the link on economy and see what the high wealth systems are.

if you are going to every system.. and seeing the same exact model ships and types, then you are having a bug. by default, you will see more "small" ships over the large hauler types. vykeen have fighter bias and korvax explorer bias.
all the best.
The ships are the same in every system, this is not a lie for me at least, because I've only seen the same damn starships. The only thing different are sometimes they show up with different parts, but they are still the same damn ships. I don't care about the looks of the starships I only care about the slots. Shuttles, Explorers, and Fighters are the only ones spawning for me.
I can afford any ship or freighter I want, units are not an issue. Just because they are there for you doesn't mean they're going to be there for me. again Do not post if you have nothing to offer to the topic.
Edit: Like I said in the Original post, It could be a bug that only I might be experiencing.
I mean... what was the question?
This! Nice OZ.
hi ks.
just to inform incase you do not know this. crashed ships come from the same pool of ships generated by the star system when you discover that star system for the first time. the same ships that fly into a station, will be the same ships that you will find crashed. crashed ships do not use a different pool or generate random beyond the initial star system pool.
all the best.
edit: to clarify. the same ships. but the slot amounts based on the (star system generated) ship size, will be random. ie: if the ship generated is a large fighter, the crahsed variant will be a large fighter.. not a small variant. but the slots rolled will be random for the large variant.
in other words.. it would be better to hang out at the landing areas and wait for the uncrashed model.
Look... I was trying to help until you came out of your neck sideways.
Wait... now you are saying they have different parts... which is it? they are all the same or they have different parts (which by definition would make them NOT the same)... Tell you what, never mind... I'm not interested in wasting my time or your time... Good luck out there, I do hope you find what you are looking for out there.
