Tips on finding all fauna on a planet
4/5, 13/15, 5/7; I can't tell how many times I up and left the planet, leaving my discoveries incomplete saying "♥♥♥♥ it." Does anyone care to share any tips for finding the pesky fauna hiding out?

check sky creatures, night active animals and under water too. not sure, if there are still cave animals. but I very seldom find all myself.

I believe i only got every animal on 1 or 2 planets. You have to get the sky and water animals and then search for the land ones. I found it easier to do when i was on a planet with only 5 creatures to find compared to one with double that.
Yeah. Also... expect the unexpected... the last animal on my home-planet was literally a pixel-sized butterfly. And when i finally got 6/6 the achievement did not trigger :(
Good luck though!

thats because you have to hit this poorly programmed and hardly noticable button located next to the 6/6 bar

edit: and yeah, underwater and in caves is where i find my last animals usually, if not there then fly all the way to the other side of the planet and start searching there

It pays to hang around for a few minutes and let creatures spawn in. I have also come across ones that disappear into the ground as well, a small flightless bird type creature.

I've heard stories of the last creature being an underwater critter, when there is only one tiny lake on the entire planet...

Yeah, if that happens, you're SOL.

maybe you can terrain manipulate it into a gigantic lake lol, but i havent tried yet
however i did try this on a small cave where suddenly more and more creatures kept spawning around me as i made the cave bigger

Not going to lie, I had no idea about that button. I just loaded up the game and went through... I had like 6 planets where I had all the fauna... just made about 3000 nanites.

Thanks!

no problem man, it pissed me off too when i noticed i didnt get any nanites after fully completing my second planet, so i started comparing pages and mashing buttons till i found it :P

they should either make that a automatic trigger when getting all fauna, or make the button a heck of a lot more noticable.

Some are so small and fast I can't even scan them... :/ They only show as red dots with the visor but are invisible without it.

yeah those are the worst lol, they seem to move only when i move so i take baby steps and stop to try scan them every second till it works.

i guess those plasma grenades could work well too, to kill them and then scan them.. but im not a huge fan of those (killed myself too many times with em)
