Am I the only one that can't make Deuterium!?

"Medium or large refiner", "di-hydrogen and catalyst".
First of all, no-one ever bothers explaining what a catalyst is. Most people use oxygen apparently.
Second of all, that recipy is bull****. I stick in di-hydrogen and oxygen and I get salty. (because it gives me salt.)

So, would someone please explain to me how you make deuterium? Or at least confirm that they can make it using that recipe?

Honstly, I feel like I'm playing a different game half the time and that all my bugs are different from everyone elses. :\

and do you play on experimental or regular branch ?
Do you have mods ?

I play on regular, totally vanilla (no mods at all) and di-hydro+ oxygen = deuterium for me

Now if you really made salt... I would love to see a pic, and really your branch... experimental ? and really specify if mods are used by you

A patch may have changed it. Try sodium or carbon.

Trying experimental. Just put it on for the first time literally right before this play session. With the amount of fixes being quest or mission related I didn't expect it to touch crafting recipes.

I'm going to try swapping back to the current version to see if that helps.

Irrc, I had to complete some specific tasks to obtain the prints.

More specific info: blacked out if people don't want specific info.


Medium Refiner: magnetized ferrite 100, di-hydrogen jelly 5
Larger Refiner: chromatic metal 200, sodium nitrate 100, microprocessors 5

Iirc, I got the blue prints from the quests with the base terminal guys (the overseer, or scientist); but might have been one of the early base computer archive recovery segments.

2k7508, I think you misread, or didn't read, my description. I don't need refiners, I need the refiners to work.

No luck moving back to normal mode. I booted it up and all my quests had multiplied. Had about 20 for "return to the scientist". I think I'll just end up reloading my old save before I started playing today and avoid any problems experimental could cause in the future.

Ok, reset to old save on old version. Seems to work fine now. Guess experimental mode messed up all the refiner recipes after all, haha.

I just got the large refiner and finally made deuterium.
