how to start abyss?

i have not gotten the quest yet and i bought the game quite recently, so is it to late to start the quest? or do i need to complete the main quest? i tried looking it up but no results answered my questions :P (i want to do it so i can get that sweet helmet)

Its part of Artemis quest line, I forget who starts it but follow that and it will pop up.

You need 40 warps and possibly the Artemis quest to a certain point.

40 warps I not have on couple chars, but also not sure what started water quests.

I started the quest three times. Two started on the 40th warp regardless of Artemis quest position. The other started during the Artemis quest but I did not look at the warp status that time.

My last save, Dreams of the Deep started four warps in, as soon as I answered Artimis

i think i am pretty far in the main quest i think (at the mind ark bit) and i dont know how many warps i have done and NO sign of the quest. i guess i will keep playing and cross my fingers :/

I got the quest after I crafted and used the mind arc, during the phase where you need to complete missions for the guilds.

The quest will unlock when you have completed the main quest named The First Traveler.
You will receive an incoming signal which will begin the Dreams of the deep quest which unlocks all underwater related content including the helmet which is a reward for completing the quest.
