Price are insane.
17,000,000 units for ONE ship inventory slot is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crazy. Might as well buy a new ship for that. 25,000 nanites for a new tech slot? Are you people just pulling numbers out of your arse or what?

That is purely optional, and people were always complaining that they had nothing to spend on. Just get a new ship.

Its clearly an endgame feature for when you have everything else, I was just stockpiling thousands of nanites because there was nothing left to use them for anyway so I don't see a problem with the prices

My S-class hauler had the worst number of slots but (imo) it looks really cool.
I stopped buying more slots at 150,000,000 units per 1 ship inventory slot.
But only because I ran out of units. (loving this update btw)

Well its finally time I try my hand at unit farming! :lunar2019deadpanpig:

If I spent about two hours gathering materials and building, I could increase my activated indium farm into a billion credits in less than an hour. At end game, these prices are definitely doable
anonbc2000 Nov 29, 2019 @ 7:10pm
btw the ships inventory slots max cost is 300,000,000 units per slot.
Farm the "storage augmentation units" to upgrade slots for free.

Yeah, it's later game stuff. You can drop that kind of cash without even thinking about it.
You also get upgrade chips for the ship when scrapping, I haven't tried yet but you could probably get some cheap slots from those by scrapping cheaper ships that you have bought or found.

I assume you can farm these units by keep salvaging ships? I already salvaged 3 ships so far but haven't gotten any of these augmentation units, maybe it has a very low drop rate.

Hmm I was told the augmentation units are from scrapping ships but I didn't try it yet because I love all my ships. :(

scrap S or A class to often get a augmentation unit or two. Its not guaranteed but its better odds then B or C class and then sell salvaged items to get some units back.

Huh, well...I'm not sure. I scrapped three ships last night and got three augments 2 A class and one S class, maybe it is based on what your scrapping and the value?

Ah that explains it, I've been only scrapping C and B classes. My main ships's expansion cost is already at like 65,000,000 so I'll see if I can get cheap S class shuttle for scrapping to get these units. Thanks for the info guys.

Unfortunately about 10 minutes ago the guy in discord logged off for the night.
The only reason I put those details here is he hates forums, all forums lol.
Anyways he's always giving me good tips over the months so I've no reason to doubt him now. However its on me for not thinking to ask him what type haulers/fighters/etc, or the values, or how many ships.
Based on your feedback, perhaps he got lucky with the first few ships he scrapped???
Hopefully someone else with experience can give you better answers while I finish mission then I'll head back to freighter to decide which ship I should axe to find out myself.
anonbc2000 Nov 29, 2019 @ 9:05pm
I scrapped all my regular ships & bought some and scrapped them too.
Note: after scrapping a ship another one you own automatically appears in space station.
Anyways here's the results, which seems only semi-random to me.

S class hauler 48+14 value 105.5 million units...
Claim scrap always gave 74 mil, 3x S class modules, and 2 'Storage Augmentation' modules.

C class Fighter 28+8 value 7.85 mil (Yes I kept that ol' day 1 starter ship lmao)
Scrap value 5.5 mil, 3x C class modules, and 0 'Storage Augmentation' modules.

S class Explorer 48+12 value 107.5 mil
Scrap value 75.5 mil, 2x S class modules, and 1 'Storage Augmentation' modules.

S class Explorer 38+12 value 39 mil
Scrap value 27.3 mil, 2x S class modules, and 3 'Storage Augmentation' modules.

S class Fighter 38+12 value 57.5 mil
Scrap value 40.5 mil, 3x S class modules, and 0 'Storage Augmentation' modules.

S class Explorer 29+8 value 11.9 mil
Scrap value 8.35 mil, 3x S class modules, and 0 'Storage Augmentation' modules.

A class Fighter 29+5 value 15.45 mil
Scrap value 10.8 mil, 3x A class modules, and 0 'Storage Augmentation' modules.

C class Fighter 15+2 value 550,000
Scrap value 385 thou, 4x C class modules, and 1 'Storage Augmentation' modules.

C class Fighter 16+2 value 780,000
Scrap value 505 thou, 4x C class modules, and 1 'Storage Augmentation' modules.

B class Explorer 25+7 value 4.55 mil
Scrap value 3.2 mil, 3x B class modules, and 0 'Storage Augmentation' modules.

A class Fighter 19+4 value 2.55 mil
Scrap value 1.785 mil, 3x A class modules, and 1 'Storage Augmentation' modules.

Note: I could not scrap my last ship that option is not available in salvage interface.
After this I reloaded the save and did not loose any of my fav ships this time. :lunar2019grinningpig:

Um I just realized if I can upgrade S class exotics to 48+21 slots too.........
then this update will greatly expand my interest in collecting all ships. :tabaha:
Mr. Bufferlow Nov 29, 2019 @ 9:21pm
I like the prices! I had quit playing one save because I was maxed out on credits. It is an endgame way of dropping a lot of credits quick. I just updated my exotic...which I never used because it had almost no storage. Got the hauler insides now and going to make it my regular ship.
