Yeah, I'm stuck on version 1.76
After the interface is updated, you should be able to go in your game Library, right-click on your NMS game > Properties > Update.
Now, make sure all betas for the game are disabled.
Chose 'only update game when I launch it'.
Launch NMS. It should update now. If not go in the File tab and make a file integrity check and repeat.
Steam client is fully updated. Under NMS/Properties/Update all that can be selected is to change auto updates, background downloads, or cloud settings.
I opted out of all betas, set updates to launch game only, and verified files. Still nothing, stuck on v1.76?
That should not happen...And the verified files showed no errors?
What is the date of your 'nms.exe' ? For v.1.77 it should read close to 14.12.2018.
It said "All files successfully validated." The NMS.exe date modified and created is 1/9/19. I seriously don't know what is going on with this thing.
Where is the problem?
Land on one of your frigates; go on the ladder and stop before reaching summit; fire-up your visor with F. If the visor doesn't appear, then you are in version 1.77 (has been disabled in the last patch on ladders).
Visor doesn't work on ladders in frigates. Guess I am running the new update. Problem is then I'm stuck on the last community research quest (collect flora). Can't get the new quest and the quicksilver vendor doesnt have any of the new items.
This should clarify things, because I suspect you are at 1.77 anyway.
Game was working fine in December 2018. Haven't had a chance to try it until today. Thought it wasn't updating correctly turns out it may be an ingame quest issue.
