most "evil" looking planets?
im finally thinking about building real base on a planet, but im not looking for sweet paradise planet, i want to find most dark looking, dangerous and overall "evil". i only found completly dark and empty world and planet when most of the time is raining and sentients are pissed off, but i wonder if you guys found anything more harsh? i dont know if i want to continue searching for something better, or to choose one one whose two.

you are definately looking for an extreme planet that kills you with it's elements in seconds if not equipped with proper upgrades.

add agressive sentinels that attack on sight and your are covered ;)

Well not that much, but I can handle walkers already, I also got some S tier exosuit upgrades so I can handle some stuff
Don't search for anything else but Extreme planets in a Conflict zone. Install the conflict scanner on the starships and visit the more barren, desert, toxic or radioactive planets with extreme storms. There are many out there and you should be able to read off the scan information without needing to land on them all. Landing on some can be quite surprising.

Most evil looking ≠ most dangerous.

I have a base on an Extreme Radiation planet, and the environment will sap your basic protection in about 30 seconds, and during a storm it will take about 10 seconds (when playing in Survival difficulty). While it is dangerous, it is by far not the most evil looking. It looks more weird and alien than evil.

That title goes to a Shards (aka The Glass) exotic moon I built another base on. It looks like the entire barren sphere is a grave yard memorial for the genocide of a titanic alien species, using sinister versions of 2001: A Space Odyssey's Monoliths as markers, with all of them broken and desecrated for unknown reasons. Even the game music while there it is pretty imposing. Unfortunately, the weather is quite tolerable, and the only way to make it more 'evil' is to have it also be a Hostile Sentinel place.

Other than that, I can't really come up with a particular evil looking planet. There are gloomy, harsh, and depressing looking planets; but none that are particularly evil and hostile in appearance.

Some of the exotic planets can look pretty cool, like the Shards that mechwarden likes above. I visited them all as I was collecting the stabilised reality glitches for a trophy room. I liked the electric cube world, and when you're hunting rattle spines, the skeleton bone planet looks eerie. And you only have one life form per world.

I've found a couple "planetary anomalies" that are always dark even during the day and seem to sap the color out of everything even your ship inside and out, I don't have the screenshot on my phone but ill post it later.

Those are the (Mono)'Chromatic' planets, listed as having chromatic fog and the like. They desaturated all colors, except for one, typically leaving red.

I thought about that one, and it is more depressing and gloomy than evil. The lack of color can get annoying, both making it hard to identify things, as well as slowly grating on your nerves. It feels like you are bombarded by colors when you leave the place after spending a good amount of time there. I wouldn't recommend having your regular base of operations there, unless you can glitch out the filter to stop removing colors, or on one that has regular storms that pushes it away for awhile.

Yeah it definitely can get old after a while, Id only make a base on one if had some other value than looking weird :)

Those are Exotic (Chromatic) planets. Nothing rly spectacular. U can see true colors of this planets when U use scanner.
Most dangerous planets? - everyone with climate flaw, marked as Extreme ... with Sentinels on 'Mad' mode. I visited same planet few times. The most annoying thing was the constant storm. Visibility: 10 meters.
