I get Tritium easily from asteroids and as far as I can rememebr it's 200 makes 200 tons.
DiHydrogen... I never gather it anymore. All you need is 40. Make a gel and refine it to get 50 back. I make a couple hundred every time I visit the freighter.
A couple minutes in front of your refiner and your set for a while.
Di-hydrogen you can't buy, BUT a lot of stations do sell the di-hydrogen jelly, which can be broken down into 50 di-hydrogen (so a max stack of 5 jellies gives you 250 di-hydrogen).
You can craft a couple of thousand fuel within a few minutes this way.
Exactly =D
Facts. Once you get this going you can really pump out missions. As long as you are sending out support ships too, it'll last longer too.
As you do missions, mine a few bits at every opportunity you see the blue cyrstals. Try to have the best mining laser set up you can,. That will make mining painless and quick and you always will have some to use when needed to make fuel.
Collect frigates which use the least fuel. Also frigate missions ideally should always have a support class frigate with them, which reduces the cumulative cost of fuel. This saves a lot on the amount of fuel you must craft each time you send off a frigate fleet off on their travels. Particularly if it is a longer mission that travels further.
it pays to pay I guess.
