Why can't I enter this base door?
I built a round room at my base, but I can't seem to walk through the door - it opens when I approach but won't let me go through. Screenshot below - this one's on a foundation, but I have a square room not on a foundation and that does the same thing.

I'm sure I'm being stupid and overlooking something obvious - please can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thanks!

Have you tried jumping to enter?

Yes, it doesn't work. Like I say, I've also got one not raised, just flat on the surface, and I can't enter that one either. Thanks for asking though.

It boggles my mind. I have that problem sometimes. Its like my character is too tall. It hasn't been going on long so I'm sure its on the list of things to be fixed.

yeah, jumping doesn't help, the door is just too small

have you tried to holo door or putting a ramp on the door?

if your ship is right next to you in your screenshot move it further away

Even with my ship on the landing pad 50 units away I had this problem with one door. I had several doors just like it but was able to traverse them just fine. My solution to the problem was to stop using the doors all together. I built a building with ferrite and added the hallways leading off of the walls and then added the prefab rooms to that. It's only ever happened to me on one save, one door at one base. It's rare, but its' mind boggling.

Unless you are on a horrible planet, just don't use doors. If you do use doors, you will usually need a ramp...and sometimes they just get glitchy and need to be deleted and reapplied. The holodoors are the best if you need doors.

Whenever possible, I use the individual items to build...and you can just put in one of the arches for a breezeway entrance. Looks nice and inviting.

to some extent, you can use this same practice on enviromentally challenging worlds. There will be a small area just after you enter your base that is impacted...but honestly never really have any issues.

Doors sometimes disappear as well...but they usually come back when you exit and return to your base. Made that mistake and created a new door, only to have two doors in the same location on my next session. Pretty easy to fix.

And usually we have a trouble with connection ramps to metal doorway.

dont directly put doors on those round rooms, it often glitch for some reasons. Build a hallway connected to the room and stick the door on it.
