it's not the visor that upgrades, its the scanner. you're looking for S Class Scanner modules in the vendor on space stations -- he's the guy that sells the multitool. ;)

yea i know that, i already got a grade S scanner module. but i see people get like 100k units per discovery and mine only gets around 30k. is it based on chance when you buy one?

it's based on a specieman. you can get around 100k for certain critters only...

I have maxed-out my visor+scanner which is the same group that stacks up. I get 440K credits for a fauna scanning. Totally regular, no mods.
I will try to provide a screenshot of my setup.

Note that the Class-B Waveform is an upgrade blueprint, not a module, that explains why more than 3 items are placed without breaking the serie. You can only place 3 modules maximum, but any upgrade blueprint you want with them.
