Reminds me of that monitor that you can't place anywhere, though you can easily see it is supposed to be put on tables, as shown on those in the space stations.

Usualy in base or on Freighter away from bridge area.

Some have placement requirements. ie: Ceiling lamp..
Tho, Reality gen' looks like floor or table. Dunno, I not got it. I was unipressed with the exloding view square one.

Similar, the Companion one can be placed on floor wall or ceiling but it is no real "companion" as it rotates around the placement point.Looking screwy if not on floor or table with enough room overhead. It is the same thing as on the freighter bridge's table-global-map.

Not tried on a freighter, but it will install on earth...does not like flooring or 2nd stories. It is odd in that your first inclination is to keep the circle above ground...there is a base. It will be ok and you will get the green good to go when you have it set properly.

It's seemingly purely cosmetic.


The only place where I've managed to place it is on the ground, outside of any structures. Which kinda sucks as I have my base on an ocean planet, so it's just sitting on the bottom of the ocean now.

Same issue... Hmmm. Well, I will keep my created Antimatter/Chromatic Metal around until this can be fixed... I wouldn't like to have to display this outside my base.

I tried placing it inside structures too until I decided that it is just really cool and expensive path lighting for your base outdoor area.

So instead of "moon lights" you can have "universe lights"

Well, this seems rather silly as it is listed under "Interior Decoration" in the Base Build menu.

Yet, it apparently can NOT be placed on the "Interior" of my base

Can't be built on Freighters .. the item appears in the build menu, but anywhere u try to place it says "Cannot Build // Base Out of Range" :(

.. seems like a pretty limited use item for 800 QS if u can only place it outside of terrestrial bases
