At some point he will ask you to build one terminal for the exocraft specialist.
Then you can hire one from a Vykeen system or if you find a Vykeen on a space station of other races.
Is the missions 'base computer archives' part of this?
I recommend you actually talk to all your base specialists again but first select their respective mission from the mission log or the correct dialogue prompt wont appear. It is annoying to keep doint it I know.
Thing is that with NEXT update there have been multiple ways of acquiring blueprints which otherwise were before either mission specific or had to be obtained from Manufacturing Facilities however some of them were or probably still are not intentional.
It is confusing I know but anyway can you actually build the Exocraft terminal from the menu? Or if you built it already you just need to find the right Vykeen candidate. Not all of them can be hired.
EDIT: OR... can anybody tell me how to start the exocraft mission sequence? Just to be clear, I did the 'build a blueprint analyser' mission for base building, then later, bought an 'exocraft terminal' without being told to do so in the missions, figuring it would help me get exocraft sooner. It didn't start any form of an exocraft mission, it just told me 'find a technician' once I interacted with it. So simply.... how do I begin the missions for exocraft? I have already put down the nomad and no new mission began.
You know what I mean, dude... c'mon. I 'built' it, there.
I'm using the mod 'Better Blueprint Shops' - maybe that put the nomad(and colossus) in my blueprint analyser? Either way... this is all irrelevant . Can someone just tell me how to start the exocraft missions? Sorry if I seem rude, this is just frustrating as hell lol. I remember a few updates ago getting this mission or the weapons one just by starting a base and after putting a few things down.
But again... right now i'm just trying to figure out how to trigger the start of the 'questline'.
It seems you don't mind cutting corners so why not cut some more, i'm not having a go i've done it myself just sayin.
pffft. I'm done here. Too many mods are just flat out cheats.
Yer game is messed. Have fun.
After that, the overseer guy gave me the quest to build an exo terminal. I don't remember having a marker for the technician though when it prompted me to look for one after constructing the terminal. I more or less just talked to every Vykeen in their space station untl one of them joined up.
Other than that the only other thing i can suggest is to uninstall the mod.
The blueprint for said room can be acquired in one of two ways: you can dig it out of the Blueprint Analyser yourself, or follow the story* until someone hands it to you on a plate.
*Awakenings >> Ghosts in the Machine
This is exactly what I needed to know. THANK YOU! lol.... it gave me the marker for the overseer once I put down the 'core' cylindrical room. I'll follow the list down to the exocraft tech.
