Reputation system, how does it work?
Guys, how does the reputation system affects you in this game? I was at level 4 with the Geks and decided to attack a few ships near a small base in some planet, after I did a manual save, just to be safe, and started to test. After a while, I was at -9 in reputation with this race and I am seen as a rival by them now.

Then I landed my starship and went into this base to see what was going on in there. They spoke to me normaly, as far as I could tell, and everything felt normal, even thogh I was up there killing their friends, wich gave me 660 Morditas (I don't play the game in English, my English isn't so good) which helped me with a quest to gather 250 of Corpitas lol

So, I am thinking about keeping this save and try to rebuild my relationship with them from there and I am playing on survival mode...

But I wonder, what are the side effects, if any, because I haven't seem much...

The only effect I know is the value of missions that they give out at the mission board on the space station.

By the way, before I bought this game, I used to lurk here, out of sheer curiosity, and visit some of the user profiles and look at their NMS screenshots, I remember that yours was one of the first profiles I have visited in here lol

Reputation may also help to determine whether local ships come to your assistance when pirates attack you.

You can buy those from other races. Its global, everyone has them, not a big deal at all.
