Please Beware: Bugs/glitches doing base weapons/armorer quest
Yesterday, I encountered 2 different problems doing the base weapons/armorer quest. I'll try to be brief in what had happened. I did BTW, fill out a form on these issues to the Zendesk.

1st bug or glitch: Is when you give the armorer the 2 daggers as requested. The game programming does a repeat of asking to give the armorer the daggers, and since it was already done and no daggers in the inventory, I had to say or click on, "Refuse" or something like that. I couldn't right or left click my mouse to get out of it before clicking on "give daggers" or "refuse". Ok, the game dialogue goes on like it's been done and I get a reward for doing it; a ship upgrade.

2nd but or glitch: The armorer then eludes to having to fight sentinals for the next quest. I thought I would have to go to another planet or out in space to do it, but when I left the armorers bldg. drones came after me, immediatly without me doing anything to them, or anything else. I thought this was part of the next quest so I fight them. It doesn't do it right away, but it says on the screen how many to fight and what was fought. I think I got to Level 3 escalation, which includes the notorious "Quad" sentinals which are in the elite type.? Anyways, I had almost 4 drones fought not to include the quad, I get killed from it's laser. And so guess what happens, I have to repeat the process, because the screen shows 0 drones fought out of 10. So, I tried it again and the same things occured. I don't think I tried to even fight the quad. I fly to another part of the planet and the drones are still after me. I even tried leaving the planet to the next one and drones still came after me. I guess it only stops if you kill all drones without getting killed, that would probably get to the highest escalation to include the infamous, "Walker". If I am wrong, please tell me or us. I did finally get avoided from drones by clicking on a different game quest and they left me alone. Thank God. All of that fighting drones then to repeat the process was really annoying. I may not even try to finish the weapons/armorer quest until those issues are resolved. (On a humorous note: I think those star creatures on that planet told those drones to attack me.LOL):steammocking:

To talk about the second case, entering a starship or a building resets the counter. I also suffered from this mission weeks ago and I also died to a Walker. Although I haven't encountered any counter reset after death. All I did was to complete the remaining sentinels without entering indoors. Then your mission will be completed. And a tip for the Walker: try to damage all the shields of them and use the Plasma Launcher for the body shield. Then they will be invulnerable to bullets. If the problem still exists, try to ask the developers.

I haven't encountered the first case, so I cannot answer for it but I know that it is also a common bug.

Thanks for the response back. I was mainly just letting people know of these bugs so they can be aware of them when doing this quest. So I guess I'm not the only one having these issues. I'll try to not go inside and see if the counter doesn't re-set but I doubt it. In fact, I havn't seen any counter the last time I did the weapons base quest. As far as the Walkers go, I may try shooting them with regular boltcaster or better yet scatter blaster after I use the plasma launcher (which I figured out from the beginning to do). I did take out it's shields but when I shot at it on the top, it had this circle with a "X" through it. I guess I couldn't shoot it down any further.?

I had the game rat glitch for an overseer mission but it proceeded fine as for the second I got to the fourth level when the first walker comes out and the mission ended and told me to escpe the sentinels or keep fighting, so I quickly escaped and it said return to armorer. So you just have to kill the one walker and get the walker brain to be done fighting I recommend a circular pattern when evading the walker, or using a building corner as a shield
Edit: I had to break off armor from the head and two from each leg before the eye would take damage, I used a boltcaster with no upgrades and a b-class tool

On the second part, the mission will work if you are careful. It IS confusing at first! One problem is they give you suggestions like go hide in a building, and if you do it, it resets the counter :D

The battle begins when you set it to that mission. I used the bolt gun, with about 1500 rounds of ammo. One thing that is useful is to kill a sentinal, then shoot the ammo canister they drop. That will give ammo and can recharge your shield. Its useful to have some armor upgrades.

Also keep something handy to recharge your shields. Set up a hot key for it... in the "X" menu, you can set a # key to do the recharge.

The quads are not too hard to kill, just don't get too close to them if you can. When they use the laser, move to the side and avoid it.

The walkers have armor, and you need to shoot the armor off first. start at the legs, and work your way up.

Don't get in your spaceship or a building or it resets the counter. You might be able to dig a cave, and go into it? Not sure.

You can put off the mission until you have more armor upgrades and weapon upgrades... then its really not that hard to do.

So just to define -- a bug is something that happens all the time, makes things NOT work and is therefore disruptive to the game. Since thousands of ppl get thru the puzzle mission without much trouble -- prolly it isn't bugged. I have done it five times. Its a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ not a bug LOL

Yeah, just happened to me as well. This is probably a repetetive 'quest' to get you low quality upgrade or something.

Its a garbage mission -- I hate that guy. First time I did the armourer, I had no idea what was going to happen. I thought he was just saying -- go to this place and fight sentinels. NOPE. I had an open base -- no walls really. I had sentinels flying into my building. I had no upgrades yet AUGH it was a mess. I left it behind -- many many many light years behind. When i got stronger I went back and did the mission. But man it made me mad LOL

PS When you give that jerk his daggers -- he is an addict ya know -- there's something on the daggers that makes him "feel better" AUGH. Anyway, you give him the daggers, then he wants them again and again and again -- he's an addict. The second time he asks for them, REFUSE and he will go on to the next part. hate this mission -- not as much as I hate the artemis mission LOL

If it only gave me some good upgrades for Spitter, I'd not feel wasted, but nope. Its hard to make a pulse minigun since it eats ammunition in a few seconds.

I'm still working on getting that weapons/armorer quest done. I still don't have a "pulse spitter" in my multi-too, so that may help to shoot down that Walker? I can't understand why this quest has you get to the highest escalation and shoot down ALL drones, quads and walker before completing it.? I think I did this quest before Next came out but I can't remember. I know it didn't involve all this. Plasma launchers do well in blowing up the quads.

I should be able to do this quest by getting all these drones, etc. I used to play, "Emperion" and their flying drones were far more worse than these, plus they have enemy patrol vessels and if you can get past the drones to a enemy base and shoot off those turrets, then you had "mechanoids" to deal with. Mechanoids are all robot and bi-pedal. I used to shoot them down if I did it just right with enough fire power. Now that I think about it, I didn't think I would miss that game after discovering this one, but now I kind of miss it. Maybe I might play it again.?

SO My issue with this quest is now that I HAVE the daggers ( infact i have 9 in my inventory) game tells me to return to the armorer at my base, but when i do so he tells me to Leave as the only dialog option. I've tried going to all my different stations and summoning him each time the same message. I cant advance past this.

Open your mission log menu, set a different mission as active, save and exit, come back and then set the dagger mission back to active.
