Teleporting
So why can't I see all my bases and stations? I thought it was a distance thing but a base I can see in the list is one of my first ones and is thousands of LYs away. They all have teleporters so anyone know the rhyme or reason?

You must first use a 'Base Computer' somewhere for activating the teleporter. Because you say you have already bases, so something must have gone wrong. Maybe you didn't move to another system since playing NEXT? In this case the teleporter list is empty, but should at least show your base in the current system you are in, provided you have a base in that system.

Try warping in another system and watch the teleporter there.

I am in my second galaxy. I have many many bases. One system inhave bases on 5 planets all have teleporters that work. They are just not all on the list to choose from

Did you change from experimental to live version or vice-versa?

For stations, you must do more than just pass through. Warping in, looking around, and warping out isn't enough, as I found out while searching for a new main base. I'm not sure what the minimum is. Landing on any planet in the system and exiting the ship to trigger an autosave may be enough.

Bases ought to be teleport targets even if they don't have their own teleport portal. Don't forget to claim the base by interacting with the base computer; it's not enough just to craft the base computer. If you see the "hut" (?) icon over the base computer then you should be good to go.

You know that you can scroll thought the pages in the list, right? You say you have many many bases, so how many pages are in your teleport list?

The sequence should be:
- your systems with active missions
- your last visited systems, with the appropriate base symbol or space station symbol.

Also, you can Filter what you are looking for. Ie: Bases, Space Station and I think Missions.

thanks but I know all that, I have about 12 or 15 pages when filter set to all. I'm in about 300 hours. Awhile back I thought it was just a distance thing and you were limited to how far your ship could jump but one of my early bases is on the list but some in between are not. Also The system I have 5 planets with bases, only one of them is in the list. Look I build a base computer, claim the base and build a teleporter every time. I know the order they should go in, I know what the little icons are, I know how this works. They just aren't in the list. I am so far away from the last bases I can't even see them in the galaxy map. I was trying to find a certain system that is IN my discoveries and uploaded but it wasn't in the list. I ported to a system close to it and set a way point then ship jumped to the system and went to that base. It's a fairly large base that I have used often and once I ported to another station it was in the list. But after awhile it wasn't there again. I don't think it's a bug I think it's a game mechanic that HG just hasn't explained well or at all.
I just wish they would explain it tho. If anybody knows for sure what it is I'd appreciate the info. If there is something I need to do that I'm not doing then HG should say somewhere " hey if you don't do this then your base won't show up" but you think if you claim the base and build a teleporter that should do it. Also if just going to the space station is not enough then that should be explained somewhere. And the last system I went to I'm pretty sure I went straight to a planet built a base and it let me port to the local station even tho I hadn't even been there. I'm headed to the second core so I'm gonna do a little testing

I think HG should re-introduce the missing feature which is showing the base symbol(s) in the discovery page, this one has been taken out in NEXT.
From your report above we can only deduce that the teleporter is currently limited to show only 1 base per system. Can other players confirm this?

That cant b right cuz i got 2 bases on one planet and their both on the list
Jacky Bunny Sep 16, 2018 @ 2:58pm
I think it might be burried somewhere deep in the list, but I dunno.
The teleporters do have that new function thingy to show only your bases, maybe switching it to only show your bases should help?

Also, it doesnt matter if a base even has a teleporter or anything els the others here have said, it should still show up in the list, might be that the game is limited with how many teleport options it can show in the list at once and randomly culls out locations that havent been recently visited.

right but seriously folks it's not buried in the list. I really know how to do this some just aren't there lol

If you have changed from experimental to live version things may get screwed-up, just an idea.

Yeah i know i cant see bases in the other galaxy
WOLFHORS3 Sep 17, 2018 @ 9:49am
So continuing this thread i went back to system with 5 bases by teleporting to the one that was on the list. Then i went to a base listed as (current system) and it teleported me there and there was no base. No teleporter and no base computer and when i fly around no icon showing a base there. I have not deleted any bases and i play with network off so no one comes in my game to mess with it. Also no matter how many bases i build i still only have 7 pages of bases. When filter is set to all i have 13 pages. I haven't checked yet but im gonna hit some more stations and see if that count goes up but im beginning to think that the list has a cap or it just must be a bug.
Does anyone else have more than seven pages of bases?

An advanced way to know what's the about of your bases is to load your save with the Save Editor and count the number of Base Computers you have, then you'll know for sure I guess.

Also, it's delicate to ask you but: you say you didn't play MP, but in the past, did you play MP to go through another galaxy and have somehow 'cheated' to stay there and continue, have you? If you did it's well possible that your save file now contains messed-up entries for your bases which will not show in teleporter or result in the above 'non existing' if you go there.

I don't think that if the teleporter has limits in what he can contain this would make your bases disappear unless it's a big bug, in which case others will soon join the party and post it in the Bug section or here in the general discussion.
