Use the "Beacon" that you can craft and place it wherever you want. A marker will show at all times after you drop one.

Beacon ? I don't think I have that yet.. I use to place base computers but they can't be named so they all look the same which didn't help they were all called the saything . Can the beacon u talk about be renamed ?

And where do j fond the beacon blueprint

No it cant. All it does is place a marker on the HUD, a circle with a star in it. I typically use them on planets to track Trade posts and things of that type. Essentially if you just want to track the locations you have been so you dont return then this item will work perfectly.

Pretty sure the blueprints are part of the base building quest, the engineer i believe? The Korvax guy give it to you.

Ahh ok thanks. I guess I gotta work down the builders line to get that item. there really should be a mapping system

I agree there should be something. The icon changes to green if you have been there already or something. I dont know how many times i have flown around a planet, hit scan, had an icon come up, landed and realized i discovered the location a few minutes before hand. There are a lot of quality of life changes that could be made like this but for now, beacons!

Yup guess my night will be the builders crafting line

So here's a universe in which you can go to millions of planets, billions of locations, find trillions of items, and we cannot even mark the position of one so that we can come back there. Technology will "allow" you to teleport to a space station, where your planet-bound ship is Magically available, yet there's no coordinate system, no maps - that system picture screen is not a 'map' sorry - no GPS, no compass (that arc on the top of the screen is a joke) no personal logs, no EASY way to do just about anything.

Getting around ought to be:

1. select a location you have visited.
2. hit enter on nav computer
3. arrive.

is that so hard? So far it's impossible...

Agreed, this is what I've been hoping they'd implement from the very beginning. It's slightly better now they show the planet coordinates in the cockpit and visor. However, a way to mark a discovered location on the hud would be a great start, and perhaps if we're lucky a way to view a planet map showing where you are currently, discovered areas/sections, buildings, crash sites, bases, maybe even view points and vistas. Rewards for uncovering all areas on the map would be a great incentive and allow for more types of gameplay for those of us who like exploring.

Make sure you add your suggestion (and be specific) using Hello Games' online Suggestion/Feedback form[hellogames.zendesk.com].

The more who submit requests, the better chance at adoption in some form.

I would like a way to either change the marker color or (better) to remove a location as both a HUD marker as as "findable" by Signal Booster. That ideally should be a toggle option, not auto-removal after a visit. Some may want the markers to remain.

THere are coordinates in your HUD you know!

Just write them down and you can find your way back anytime. One of the community events introduced this technique.

Yes, I already mentioned this in my previous post. I did fill out that survey a few weeks ago, but I didn't realise they were taking further suggestions through the feedback form. Thanks for pointing that out. It's great that they're open to feedback and continuing to develop the game. The latest update looks very interesting.

I hear that, I had a place and placed one fo those devices that show the base location up to a small distance and I had to leave the planet to go to space station and came back to the planet and can't find my spot. It's justr crazy it whows you the whole universe on a map but you can't see where you are on a planet or find your way back to your base area. Rocks for brains...

Which device are you talking about... A beacon or base computer show up from space even.
