Can yu refine to Activated Copper?

Is there any combination of materials that can be refined into Activated Copper?

Not really. The difference from Activated <resource> to <resource> is the output ratio in the Refiner. Activated ones are way more efficient.

It could be from a random collection quest.

I have seen deposits of activated copper on some planets, but I forget which type they were. :(

Because it's 2xCopper, like Condensed Carbon, Sodium Nitrate and Pure Ferrite.

They're saying that it's only use is to refine into Chromatic Metal. Why would you want to spend resources to refine Copper into Activated Copper just to refine it into Chromatic Metal? Copper is plentiful enough that it's not a necessary process.

You obviously don't have problems with space? I have a 48+48 suit, 2x48 Haulers (and a couple of Fighters + an Exotic, but they have to few slots), 10 vaults and I still am short on space. On my main base I want to have absolutely everything possible, so I don't have to run around looking for it. Every time I stumble over something, I collect it and stash 1000 of it, in the vaults, but having only 10x5 slots is too little, so I stash things I regularely use, in my suit, but I want to keep as many slots as possible, in my suit, empty, so I don't need to transfere stuff to other locations. So, both for space, and for the hell of it, I want to stash away 1000 Activated Copper. I could stash stuff in my Starship, but having a number of them I might have to call several of them before I find the correct one.

Do you have a freighter yet? Or exocraft? There are 3 exocraft, each with their own inventory slots that can be loaded up. Also, are you using the special cargo slots on your suit?

Lastly, what on earth are you holding on to that's using that much space? Maybe you're holding on to things that are only good for selling, or holding things that can simply be made when needed rather than stockpiling. e.g. don't hold a stockpile of metal plates; instead, just hold a stockpile of ferrite dust in bulk and make plates when you need them. There could be changes you could make tot he way you're playing that would resolve your storage issues :)

Another example... If you're only keeping activated copper so that you can make chromatic metal (because that's literally all it's good for), then why don't you just turn it all into chrome and then worry about storing a single commodity?

I've seen it, but I'm not sure if it's complete. A quest I'm at now tells me that I can either find or refine superoxide crystals. The table, and the wiki, tells me that that isn't possible.

doesnt the superoxide crystals come from those floating crystal obelisks? pretty sure i saw a group of them while mining last night. (they werent all superoxide, some where TetraCobalt, Rare Metal Element and Chloride Lattice)

@angelhearth, Why do you want everything of everything possible? I love this game and thought about doing that, but it seems once you have found all your ships you want, and a pretty base, and a good gun, there isn't much left to do or gather.

I guess for replay value of giving purpose to keep playing maybe. Once we have everything of everything, maybe start killing players...
