cant place medium refinery

Do these have to be inside a large room? I tried placing it in a room with tech station but would not work, neither would outside or on a platform. Wondering if i'm doing something wrong or need to build another room?

you can place the refiner in the open.. that means on a pure square bottom block.. without roof.

how ever.. the refiner does not like a roof tile direct above it and you will have to be creative if you want to create some sort of refiner factory in a large hall.

yeah the roof has to be 2 blocks above the refinery to avoid the invisible clipping.

So if i just place a couple wooden tile frames for the base of a wooden building they have you make that should work? I wonder why the round platform didn't work then, or is that for something else?
